On contributions, Webull's rate is higher
At the same contribution, 3.5% beats 3% by 0.5 points. On a $7,500 contribution that's $262.50 vs $225 (our arithmetic), a $37.50 gap. Subscription cost can easily swing that: Robinhood Gold is $5/month and must be kept a year from your first Gold match ($60). Compare Webull Premium's current price before deciding.
On transfers, Robinhood is simpler
Robinhood's 1% on transfers and 401(k) rollovers applies without Gold and, per its page, has no cap. Webull's 1% transfer rate is a Premium rate and is advertised as limited-time. For a large rollover where you don't want a subscription, Robinhood is the more straightforward choice. Also compare Public's uncapped 1% transfer match, which pays monthly over five years.
Both are long commitments
Either way, plan to leave the matched money in the IRA for about five years. Read holding periods and clawbacks.
